Gaming supervisors oversee gaming operations and employees in an assigned area. Circulating among the tables, they make sure that all stations and games are covered for each shift. It also is common for supervisors to interpret the casino's operating protocols for gamblers. Supervisors could also plan and arrange activities for guests staying in their casino hotels.

Gaming supervisors must have certain leadership qualities and top notch communication skills. They need these abilities both to supervise staff effectively and to greet gamblers in order to inspire return visits. Nearly all casino supervisory staff have an associate or bachelor's degree.
